A Joyous Joint Jubilee with Park Walk Primary School
On the 6th June Glendower Preparatory School had a joint celebration with Park Walk Primary School, to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Our whole school travelled on mass to Park Walk for a first of its kind event. The children had a wonderful time as did the staff and loved playing games, decorating cookies, making crowns and more. It was a fantastic experience for us all.
Students and staff expressed how much they particularly enjoyed seeing the school, and our girls couldn’t have had more fun playing on the fantastic outdoor play equipment, with screams of laughter filling the air. Each year group also spent an hour watching a hilarious magician and his tricks; and enjoyed chatting together during an outdoor street style picnic lunch under copious strings of bunting.
A fabulous end to the countries four daylong celebration.

“I made a new friend from Park Walk Primary. We started talking about her dress at the Jubilee picnic table then carried on chatting for the whole of lunchtime. She was also really funny!” Year 2
“I enjoyed playing in the playground because there was so much play equipment. At first I couldn’t get down the pole but then my teacher helped me and I did it! I also reached the very top of the climbing wall on my own. It was quite scary because it was quite high and it was hard to hold on.” Year 2
