Working together on mental health and emotional wellbeing

This is a teacher to teacher training project between Royal Grammar School and Harton Technology College. The partner schools share a joint desire to build staff confidence in dealing with pupil mental health issues and helping to become more proactive in promoting and supporting emotional wellbeing. 

Background

The opportunity for joint working emerged after Harton staff attended a mental health conference hosted by the RGS in September 2015.

RGS engaged an expert who ran a session with students at the RGS which was followed by training for staff at Harton.

Impact

Schools monitor number and nature of interventions/forms of support needed for students and their efficacy.
