Supporting displaced young people
Through Big Leaf Foundation, the outgrown suits and shirts of senior boys are collected by matrons and given to displaced young people supported through summer camps and work experience.
Background
A parent involved in the foundation recognised the need for these children to have good quality suits to enable them to undergo educational and workplace interviews with credibility.
Resources
Non-teaching staff spend a number of hours each term sifting through second-hand uniform to find suitable items which we then have dry-cleaned and made ready to be collected. This involves a financial contribution.
