Student Visits to Freda Gunton

As part of the schools Enrichment Programme, students in years 10 and 11 visit the elderly residents to chat and have lunch together on a weekly basis.

Aims

To provide moral boosting visits for the elderly who don't often meet with young people on a regular basis.

To enable the students to reach out to tho9se less fortunate than themselves and to understand the importance of service, they additionally benefit from mixing with an older generation.

The residents are made to feel special and welcome

Impact

the residents are very appreciative of the student visits and look forwaed to seeing the girls.

Additional visits to school events are arranged for the residents
