Junior Literary Festival
A week long literary festival for local primary school children, showcasing childrens authors, illustrators, poets and storytellers
Aims
The aim of the project was to inspire a love of reading and to enable the students to understand how a great story is created. They were able to interact with the presenters and learn about literature. The week concluded with a production of Peter Pan by an outdoor theatre company.
Resources
Outdoor space in the Secret Garden area, hall and studio.
School transport was provided to help students attend the event, staff were also on hand. All fees for the visiting speakers were paid for by St Mary's.
Other resources used were caretaking staff and catering staff.

Letters of appreciation from visiting school pupils and staff.
