St Mary's Inter-Schools Public Speaking Competition

Annual public speaking competition organised and hosted by St Mary's with up to 8 teams drawn from schools in the local community of Colchester.

Aims

Aims of the project are to give the students the opportunity to develop the skill of public speaking. To enjoy the competitive nature of competition and to develop links between the schools.

Background

Opportunity was identified by staff within school after working with the local Rotary Club on a similar project.

Resources

Facilities, catering , prizes.

Impact

Development of a positive and happily competitive event and the development of relationships between the schools, pupils and staff.
