Sports Leaders with Queen Eleanor's C of E Junior School

Fifth Form students from Prior's Field School run sports workshops to students from Queen Eleanor's Junior School as part of their Sports Leadership qualification.

Aims

The Sports Leadership Qualification was started at Priors Field to help improve motivation, self-esteem, communication, team work and confidence of Fifth Form students. Leadership volunteering is a vital part of the course and with Queen Eleanor's students looking for more sports based opportunities this became a mutually beneficial link.

Background

Students from every year group in Queen Eleanor's have been involved in Sports Leaders workshops from 2019.

Resources

Queen Eleanor students are transported to Prior's Field School in the PF minibuses to the PF sports hall and field. 

Pupil Involvement

14 Priors Field students - 5th Form(15-16yrs)  2022/23.

180 Queen Eleanor's students -  Year 5 and 6 (9-11yrs) 2022/23.

Frequency

Workshops last one hour, weekly, during the Autumn Term.
