School Partnerships: The Ogden Trust

Stockport Grammar School is part of the School Partnerships programme with The Ogden Trust. As part of this Stockport Grammar School both hosts and attends Physics events to help encourage pupils to consider purusing an education in Physics for GCSE, A-Level and at university.

Aims

The School Partnerships programme offers funding and support to groups of schools that are committed to enhancing physics teaching and learning.

In secondary education the partnership aims to:

• Increase the number of students taking physics at GSCE, A-level and at university.
• Support teachers of physics, particularly for those without a subject specialism.

The school is proud to have been part of the partnership for over five years. 

Resources

As part of the partnership, Stockport Grammar School's Physics teachers make visits to state schools, attend events and host events at the school.
