School governor roles

One of our assistant heads is a co-opted governor with specific responsibility for curriculum.

Pipers Corner's director of digital strategy is a foundation governor at Monks Risborough School, leading on Community Ethos & Values, Curriculum and Safer Recruitment.

Aims

Following OFSTED inspection, the school was graded as 'Requires Improvement' in all areas except pastoral care (good). Factor for success moving forward was the development in the area of 'Leadership and Management'.

Background

Following major changes to the governing body, a number of places became available. The vacancies were advertised in the school newsletter, and applicants were interviewed to review which skill sets they could bring to the school.
