Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital student placement
For the third year running we have a group of L6 students taking part in a year long placement at the hospital. Students spend three hours each Wednesday attached to various hospital departments where they help with a multitude of tasks involving staff and patients.
RNOH and the school are continuing to build links with the hospital through the volunteering activities and one-off projects.
Aims
The hospital really welcome the students’ contribution to their volunteering programme.
They felt that having young volunteers would be a great idea and it has been a great success.

Resources
The school pays for transport for the students while our head of co-curriculum coordinates the visits, working closely with RNOH and regularly meeting the students on-site.

Pupil Involvement
The students are all L6.
Frequency
Weekly. For three hours each Wednesday for the whole year.
