Opportunities and Careers Fair

A virtual careers and opportunities fair was hosted by Badminton with an array of professionals, higher education institutions, alternative providers and many others. Local Bristol-based schools were invited to attend through the BEP group.

Aims

The aims of this event was to help young people across Bristol access Higher Education and Professional Guidance information despite the recent restrictions. Schools were aware of the event through the BEP and students could choose to attend as they saw fit.

Background

The BEP was established in 2019. As a part of this, members host events in which partner schools are able to attend.

Resources

This event used school facilities, teaching and non-teaching staff.

Impact

The anticipated outcome is increased awareness and education for all BEP schools regarding higher education and professional guidance.

Pupil Involvement

This event was for all students from year ten and up.
