Partnership with St Monica Trust

Letters continued to be exchanged between participating pupils in Years 9 and 10 and their pen pals at St Monica’s. The episode of Our School featuring this storyline is now available on BBC iPlayer (Our Boarding School: Episode 10 – Pen Pals). This initiative has definitely strengthened the partnership between St Monica’s and Badminton, and the new co-ordinator at St Monica’s is very keen to build on this success. The pen pal scheme is now being relaunched for current Year 7 and 8 pupils, and the English Department will be taking some students to visit during the first week back for a poetry-sharing session.

Background

Our partnership with St Monica’s is developing significantly.  The school will also host a UK Forces Veterans’ Band event in the St Monica’s Hall.  Key members of the creative arts team have been over to look at the facilities and consider events/ performances where the school could use this space in the future.
