London Youth Games

For many years Godolphin and Latymer has hosted netball and hockey trials to see who will go on to represent the Borough from local state primary schools.

Aims

The partnership helps ensure that children from local state primary schools can take part in netball and hockey trails to represent their borough

Background

The netball trials have been going on for over 10 years; the hockey trials a little less.

Resources

Use of school sports facilities

6th formers and students from Y10 and Y11 help umpire that matches.

The events go on for 5 or 6 hours.

Pupil Involvement

Sixth formers and Y10 and Y11 students from Godolphin and Latymer help with the umpiring

About 15 state schools and 100 Y5/Y6 pupils take part in the netball trials.

Around 10 state schools and 70 Y5/Y6 pupils take part in the hockey trials.
