International School Partnership

We have developed an international school partnership with Swawou School in Sierra Leone. This is a new partnership that allows the pupils to develop an understanding of the wider world. 

Aims

The aim of this partnership was to encourage communication between the girls in our school and our partner girls' school in Sierra Leone. This encouraged the pupils to develop a broad understanding of the world and connect with children in a different environment to their own. 

Resources

We started this partnership through letter writing. The girls from Y4-6 take part in the letter writing project annually. We were able to share creative writing and personal letters between the children. We are going into the second year of this partnership and looking for new ways to develop. 

Impact

This benefitted the pupils in both schools and was assessment through pupil voice and teacher communication. 

Pupil Involvement

All girls in Swawou (age 5-13) took part along with Y4-6 at St Christopher's. 

 

Frequency

We are looking to develop this further in the coming year to include sports, resourcing and other partnership work.
