Collaborative Departments - History
In order to support each other in sharing best practice and reducing workload across departments, the History department have shared their resources across all key stages.
Aims
The main aim of this project was to reduce workload by multiple teachers producing resources on the same topics. Best practice can also be shared and new ideas gleaned from other teachers' materials.
Impact
The impact will be seen in the teachers having more time to dedicate to individual student needs, rather than producing resources. Additionally, budget would not be needed to buy in resources but can be directed to where it is needed more.
Pupil Involvement
All pupils studying History will benefit from using tried and tested resources developed by classroom teachers with specialist knowledge on both subject and teaching and learning (T&L) techniques.
Frequency
The frequency will depend on changes to teaching topics and syllabus, plus the development of new resources in light of new research into T&L.
