Art Detectives is an art history partnerships project with Larmernier and Sacred Heart Year 6 students.
The aim of the project is to introduce Year 6 students to the pleasure of looking at paintings from the National Gallery. The concept is that they are Detectives and every picture has clues to find and solve. With the help of ipads, an interactive whiteboard and worksheets, the students can explore the paintings and discover a new topic each week.
Girls in the VII and VIII lead history of art sessions with Year 6 pupils from Larmenier and Sacred Heart.
This project was set up in 2016. This past year marks our third year running this project, which is ongoing.
Students volunteer to go to the primaries for a lunch session every week throughout the Spring term.
