Academic Lessons

KEHS offers Gifted and Talented Classes for pupils in Year 5 throughout the academic year. Small groups of children attend lessons in Science, Spanish, French, Maths and English on a Friday afternoon. Pupils spend four weeks studying each course and complete all courses by the end of the academic year.

Background

We continue to work in partnership with a number of local primary schools in Birmingham.  Pupils in Years 5 and 6 attend 90-minute lessons on Friday afternoons delivered by KEHS staff and supported by our sixth form students. We have also introduced a new and exciting element to our work on a Friday afternoon, namely a Music Outreach programme, during which our sixth form pupils visit local primary schools delivering 90 music-making sessions.
