Support and training for local schools
Moulsford Preparatory School supports teachers, parents and pupils of local state schools by providing advice and training sessions throughout the academic year.
Checkendon Primary School received a grant to upgrade its IT equipment. The Headteacher felt that advice from an IT company hadn't been education based and she was keen to get the views of our Head of IT.
Moulsford Preparatory School met with the Head of Checkendon to see what IT provision was currently in place and what might work best for their school going forward. We put Checkendon in touch with our IT providers for purchasing and installing their new equipment. We have also offered to support them with teacher training going forward to get the most out of it for children and staff.
Moulsford hosted a Safer Internet Parent Training session on 4th February and invited parents from local primary schools to come along as well.
We brought a group of talented artists over from St John's Primary to look at our Art Exhibition ahead of their own around the same theme (plastic recycling). The children took photos of the work to feedback to their peers and to inspire them producing their own work.
A team from St John's Primary School in Wallingford are revamping their KS2 library. Moulsford have offered to support them with this. The aim was to understand how we run out library and the systems we use. Further collaboration in future is very likely - including book clubs and mobile libraries.
Aims
