Rugby & Hockey 7s tournament

On Saturday 5th October, we welcomed 16 teams to Old Buckenham Hall School for a boys' rugby and girls' hockey 7s festival. They joined us from schools and clubs around Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.   

Aims

To get as many children playing and enjoying sport as we can. 

To widen and strengthen our relationships with local schools and the wider community. 

To give children experiences and facilities they may not have access to otherwise.

Background

These tournaments have been running for many years and continue to grow. Schools and clubs look forward to the annual event. 

Resources

School pitches and AstroTurf. 

The Director of Sport and Head of Girls' Games run the events, supported by all the school sports staff and teaching/non teaching staff. 

We cater for over 150 children, staff and spectators. 

There is no cost to the schools or clubs attending. Refreshments are also free.

Pupil Involvement

Boys and girls aged from 9 - 13.
