Primary Schools Science Challenge 2025

On Saturday 22nd March, we were delighted to host teams from local primary schools across Gloucestershire for our annual Primary School Science Challenge.

This year, pupils were tasked with constructing a bridge to span a 50cm gap using a tray of assorted materials — including marshmallows, art straws, paper, pasta, and Blu Tack. Points were awarded for teamwork, the height of the bridge’s deck, and the maximum load it could support at its centre.

The creativity and enthusiasm on display were incredible, and the final testing phase was a highlight as we stress-tested the bridges to the point of destruction!
