PPE for NHS

Our Design and Technology Teachers have been producing PPE visors for the NHS over the past week. So far they have produced over 2500, and managed 1000 in one day with their new design.

Aims

The aim was to provide PPE equipment to frontline staff in coronavirus pandemic, by using the skills and equipment of DT teachers and school resources to manufacture them. The immediate beneficiaries are those frontline staff in the local areas.

Resources

Teachers with DT skills, various DT equipment such as laser cutters, PVC.

Approx 5 DT teachers. Financial contribution of raw materials - however since these ran out local businesses and other schools have been donating.
