New Hall Voluntary Service

Founded in 1978, the New Hall Voluntary Service (NHVS) has been providing help and support to vulnerable members of the Chelmsford community for over 40 years.

Every Tuesday elderly members of local care homes are invited into School to have lunch with our student volunteers.

Every Wednesday elderly members of local care homes are invited into School to have lunch with our student volunteers.

Every Friday elderly members of local care homes are invited into School to have lunch with our student volunteers.

The students prepare and serve the lunch and enjoy chatting to the guests.

Every Tuesday evening adults with learning disabilities are welcomed to the School to play board games, eat snacks and chat with student volunteers. The guests and volunteers have a lot of fun, especially on special event evenings such as karaoke!
