Impact Statement

New Hall supports a local primary school by offering sports coaching, shared resources, Mathematics and SEN support and use of our swimming pool. We also offer use of our facilities (Chapel,sports facilities and theatres) to a number of other primary schools.
Over the past twelve months New Hall has hosted a variety of educational days for local children in Years 5 and 6. These included a Codebreaking Day that allowed 40 students an opportunity to work with the Mathematics and Computer Science Departments, the Classics Department led a study day for 56 children, 35 children enjoyed a Singing Day led by the Music Department and 30 rugby enthusiasts experienced a masterclass hosted by the Sports Department.
The Science Department hosted a lecture by Lord Robert Winston to which VI Form pupils from local schools were invited. We also hosted Economics conferences for local Sixth Formers and an English Speaking Union debating competition for local Secondary schools.
The newly opened Heritage Room has allowed a series of visits from local state primary schools enabling the children to explore the Tudor history of the New Hall palace.
