Forest School Partnership

We have two qualified Forest School Practitioners (Level 3) and a fantastic woodland. After doing some really great sessions with our own girls, we decided to offer some sessions to a local state primary as they were studying Habitats in Science.

Pupils from the local state primary came for a couple of sessions in the Spring term. We then gained HSBC Girls Day School Trust funding, and were able to roll out another six sessions for a mixed Year 4/5 class.

Aims

The aims of our project are to partner with a variety of local state schools so that they can benefit from our beautiful grounds at the school.

A local state school were carrying out a project on habitats through their Science Curriculum and we thought this would be an ideal opportunity to share our resources.
