Archbishop Sentamu partnership

We have continued our work with the Academy in developing the opportunity for one of their talented pupils to join the St Peter’s Sixth Form. Academy pupils and their parents received information and briefings over a period of several weeks in the autumn of 2015, and a number chose to complete the entrance assessments.

In 2016, our first scholar from ASA joined us for Sixth Form to take up a fully funded boarding place: our ongoing partnership with ASA is already resulting in increasing levels of aspiration for pupils at the Academy, whether or not they choose to pursue our scholarship.

Building on our work with ASA, we were accredited this year by the SpringBoard Bursary Foundation, which works to transform the lives of disadvantaged children by working with schools to offer fully-funded boarding places. Our first SpringBoard pupil joined us in September 2017.

The partnership was recognised by the TES Independent School Awards, who cited the partnership as a key factor in St Peter's shortlisting for the Independent State School Partnership Award in 2018.
