Impact Statement
We continue to strive to work in partnership with local state schools to our mutual benefit. We engage in the following partnership opportunities:
- We have 2 members of staff that are members of governing bodies for local state primary schools.
- Every year children from a local state school are invited to use our STEAM lab and have lunch here.
- We host a local sports partnership cross country event for up to 12 schools and hundreds of children across KS2. All children are offered healthy energy snacks and drinks following their races.
- We regularly host a Year 4 Maths Competition for a number of local schools. Approximately 15 schools take part, each with 4 competitors.
- Local nurseries are invited to use our auditorium for nativities and performances.
- Members of our Sports Department offer to to teach PE to local primary schools during our activity week when our own pupils are off site.
- We continue to promote events to our parents via notice boards for local schools’ Open Evenings.
- Gayhurst continues to be used as an exam centre for LAMDA - some external children also do their exams here.
- The Metropolitan Police use the buildings and site on a regular basis to train their dogs.
Historically, we have donated IT equipment, classroom furniture, learning equipment and playground toys to state schools.
