Educational Partnerships:
• Hosted inaugural Leicester History Festival open to local schools and members of the public, over 600 people attended
• 3 Staff who are governors at state schools
• Teaching & learning links with Gartree High School
• Hosting of Onatti plays with local schools invited
STEM:
• Involved with UKMT various maths events & provision of materials for schools across the country
• Hosted Rotary Technology Challenge competition, several local schools took part
• Year 6 Team Maths challenge organised & hosted by LGS
• Head of Maths is Treasurer of UKMT & Director of Studies is Chair of the Challenges Sub-Trust for UKMT
• Hosted UKMT year 10 event for able mathematicians (FoC)
• Hosted St Cuthbert’s Primary School Science Day
Facilities & Sport
• Netball County schools & South Leics. school’s tournaments hosted at LGS
• Leics. Primary Schools swimming gala. Event organised & hosted by LGJS
• South Leics. Schools Sports Partnership indoor cricket tournament hosted at LGS
• Use of Swimming Pool by Penguins Swimming school at cost price offers swimming opportunities to 1400 children and young persons each year
• St Cuthbert’s Primary School swim lessons during term time held at LGS
• South Leics. Sports swim galas hosted (KS3 & KS4)
• Community use of facilities for nil/nominal charge: St Cuthbert’s School choir
• Hosted Market Harborough Youth Netball Tournament
