Year 5&6 Quicksticks Hockey Workshop and Tournament

BPS runs and hosts the annual NDSP Quicksticks Hockey event for Schools in the group. Schools may bring teams of Year 5&6 girls and boys to the event. BPS staff run a Hockey workshop for all the children for the first part of the afternoon on our all-weather pitch. A tournament then follows with schools competing against each other in a round robin event. One team will then progress to the Surrey School Games County Final to represent the District.

Aims

Quicksticks is a relatively new event for the NDSP district. Therefore a workshop prior to the event equips the children with the skills needed to take part in the tournament. The participation of additional schools is growing each year. The children are also encouraged to join Hockey Clubs or participate in their Borough's Surrey Youth Games free training sessions.
