Tooled Up Education Partnership

Willington and Monksmead Primary have teamed up so that we can both benefit from a subscription to Tooled Up Education. This evidence based research portal allows parents and teacher access to pastoral resources that have been put together by Dr Kathy Weston, one of the UK's leading experts on child development. 

Aims

The aim of this sponsorship is to give the teachers and parents access to the highest quality resources to help them raise their children. For the staff it will be a valuable CPD resource and a pastoral resource to help them in their work. 

Background

This partnership came about through the Heads of both Willington and Monksmead discussed how this could be beneficial to Monksmead. 

The Head of Willington saw the opportunity when discussing the challenges that the Head of Monksmead had. With the subscription cost of £3000 being prohibitive to them, Willington now pay this as an ongoing commitment to them. 

This began in the autumn term of 2022/23. 

Resources

The resources are now available to all parents of Monksmead, through the Tooled Up Education website; they are also available to the staff of Monksmead. 

Impact

Whilst this partnership is still in its infancy, it is hoped that the CPD opportunities will add to the effectiveness of Monksmead and their parents will benefit from the practical advice offered by Dr Weston. 

Frequency

This will be an ongoing sponsorship of Monksmead's subscription to this service.
