Team Matrix Netball Partnership

Cokethorpe School supports Team Matrix by providing the use of facilities and feeding talented players from the school in to the club.

Aims

Team Matrix aims to provide opportunities for local players to receive a high level of coaching and support with the goal of developing players on to the England Netball Performance Pathway.

Cokethorpe School supports the club by providing the use of training facilities as they are needed.

Team Matrix takes players from all over Oxfordshire and from a complete mix of schools.

Background

The Director of Sport at Cokethorpe has been in contact with Team Matrix since its inception and identified the opportunity to support them as it offers such a fantastic chance for girls at both Cokethorpe at other local schools to have access to a high performance team. The team has been in close partnership with Cokethorpe for just over two years.

Resources

Cokethorpe School provide the use of its sports hall free of charge. The facilities are used on average about once per month or as needed as the team rotates its training grounds as it covers the whole of Oxfordshire.

Impact

The impact on the quality of netball in Oxfordshire has been significant. Cokethorpe School now has six girls playing at a regional level and similar results are being noted in other local schools.

Pupil Involvement

Team Matrix has teams running from U10 upwards and is open to girls from across Oxfordshire and from all schools.

Frequency

Team Matrix train every week on a rotation of different venues. On average they train at Cokethorpe once a month. The partnership has been in place for just over two years and is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.
