Sixth form voluntary work at local state primary schools
Each Wednesday afternoon, our dedicated sixth form volunteers actively empower students from nearby state primary schools, providing invaluable assistance to elevate their reading and writing skills.
Aims
The aim is to foster collaborative learning between 6th Form volunteers and our local state primary schools. We are also seeking to help improve primary school pupils' reading and writing skills through targeted support. In addition, the aim is to establish positive mentoring relationships to boost academic confidence.
Impact
Immediate beneficiaries are the primary school pupils receiving direct support. The project has also sought to cultivate a culture of educational collaboration, fostering improved academic outcomes and community mutual connectivity.
