Reading mentor scheme

Each fortnight a group of year 10 LVS Ascot students visit Ascot Heath Village Primary School to develop a reading mentor scheme with the KS1 pupils.

The headmistress has selected a group of students who are in need of extra reading support or help with speaking skills. LVS Ascot students are buddied with specific student for the rest of the year and we hope to see progress in reading skills. This is also based on improving interaction skills between children of different ages.
