Reading project
Sixth form pupils from Sutton High School visit the junior school pupils on a weekly basis to assist in the library and support reading.
Aims
The aim is to help improve the children's literacy skills, and encourage them to read more for pleasure.
Background
This project was established by the Head of Year 12 & 13 at Sutton High School and has been running for 2 years.
Resources
The availability of Sixth Formers is key to the success of the project.
Pupil Involvement
The six pupils from Sutton High School for girls are aged 16 - 18.
All pupils from Robin Hood Primary school have an opportunity to use the library.
Frequency
This is a weekly event running throughout the year.
