Physical Literacy

The Maltman's Green School tennis coach attended Jordans School to teach a physical literacy lesson for their reception class. 

Aims

The session lasted for 45 minutes and we worked on a combination of agility, balance and co-ordination skills. The 24 girls and boys seemed to thoroughly enjoy the lesson, which was based on transport and autumn, the two subjects they were working on in their curriculum lessons.

The Spring lesson consisted of a variety of physical literacy skills including agility, balance and co-ordination. Towards the end of the session the children played a team game where each of the four teams had to work together to achieve their goal. The theme of the lesson was Team Work and Spring.
