Lviv School for the Blind

Queen's Gate supports Lviv School for the Blind in the Ukraine by selling its pupils' handmade Christmas and Easter cards, as well as by fundraising.  

Aims

The terrible state of the school building in Lviv means our aim is to support the school to stay open and providing education to blind children through helping finance repairs. 

Background

Having been shocked to see the conditions in the boarding school for blind children in Lviv, and to learn that the state of the windows had meant pupils being sent home and so missing out on education, a Queen's Gate Junior School teacher was keen to get our fundraising wheels in motion.

Sales of Christmas and Easter cards, as well as general fundraising. 

Impact

Replacement windows have helped to reduce the cold and keep the school open.
