Combined Cadet Force partnership

Hereford Cathedral School’s Combined Cadet Force is one of the oldest in the country, and the school was delighted to enter into a genuine partnership with Whitecross Academy School. The partnership enabled four members of staff from Whitecross School to gain access to a wide variety of enriching professional development opportunities, whilst sixteen pupils were able to participate in a variety of team building and leadership activities that were otherwise unavailable to them. Hereford Cathedral School also gained from the partnership by the addition of four new staff, who became trained to support the whole contingent, and the addition of sixteen new cadets. The pupils from both schools work alongside one another in Army, Navy or Air Force sections, and are engaged in weekly activities, expeditions and celebratory events.
