An opportunity to collaborate across schools to make large scale high quality music and work across key stages to ease transition
Aims
To involve a large number of our own and other schools' children in collaborating to make high quality, challenging and fun repertoire coinciding with the national Sing Up initiative
Background
The Music Department have an ambitious programme of large scale music-making that is very inclusive.
Resources
Yopu need a lot of teachers to train the children in sectionals and simultaneous availability of multiple spaces
Impact
The day was gloriously happy. Children adored the music which was demanding, witty and fun. Our pupils enjoyed hosting our visiting guests for playtime and lunch as well as for the singing. Year 2s and 3s mixed happily and got used to each other.
