All in Drama

This is an annual event where children from four local schools come together to collaborate in various drama workshops across the day. The children learn scripts from various short productions and perform them to each other. As well as developing their acting skills, the benefits of meeting new people and collaborating with them are numerous in terms of personal development.

Aims

Our Drama and LAMDA Co-ordinator has developed an extension programme for local state schools to enhance their teaching and learning in several areas.

Background

This was established as part of our Alleyn's 400th Celebrations and will continue on an annual basis.

Resources

A wide range of Alleyn's School facilities are used for the workshops to enhance the experience for the children.  Alleyn's Junior School staff lead and organise all the workshops that are offered.

Impact

This is an extension programme aimed at enhancing the current teaching and learning at the children's own schools.  

Pupil Involvement

Both genders and pupils from Year 2 - Year 6 are involved.

Frequency

This is now being established as an annual event.
