Impact Statement

Every July, Spratton Hall hosts a Sports Day for around 20 local primary schools from the Diocese of Peterborough. The children use our athletics facilities, fields, astroturf and compete in events throughout the day. Hundreds of children benefit from having the opportunity to use tailor-made athletics facilities and from having PE specialists lead the day.

Spratton Hall hosts a very successful event for 3 local primary schools. In one term we host a Music Day in which the children from those primary schools spend the morning under the tutelage of our choir master, during which they learn about singing techniques and rehearse songs for a joint concert at the end of the day. The concert takes place in our theatre, giving the children the opportunity to perform on a stage. The children will gain in confidence and musical ability. The children involved were given singing coaching of a high standard and all of their teachers felt it was an extremely worthwhile day and have asked us to provide this day as an annual event. The children involved thoroughly appreciated singing in the concert in a theatre. It was a great boost to their singing capabilities and confidence.
