Impact Statement

We provided one Classics teacher free of charge for an average of one hour a week to teach Latin to Year 5 at Christ Church, Streatham, Primary School. This amounted to 30 hours over the year and impacted 50 pupils. The project is extremely popular with the primary school. The pupils are engaged and were able to finish the ‘Minimus’ textbook by the end of the academic year. The pupils have improved their understanding of grammatical terms and extended their vocabulary by thinking about the English words derived from Latin.?
