Impact Statement

Read School supports a variety of collaborative projects with local state primary and high schools
(music, drama, sport, careers, further education advice) and will be seeking to increase these initiatives in the coming year.

We annually organise two outreach days for Year 5 pupils of local primary schools, where they participate in a day of varied lessons and creative arts activities at Read School. Around ten local schools attend over two days, bringing an average of 8 pupils per school.

Read also host the annual Indoor Athletics finals for Selby Primary Schools in our sports hall and involve our own year 10 and year 11 pupils by asking them to run events and collate scores.

Local schools are also invited to our Senior School annual drama production and we often arrange our own school minibuses for them to be collected and returned.
