Weekly Maths Hub at West London Free School Primary
This is a new project for 2018-19. L6 volunteers from Latymer Upper have set up an informal maths hub at WLFS Primary, where the primary school teachers send pupils for 10-minute 1-1 slots with a maths mentor.
The aim is to provide make a valuable contribution to the education of pupils in a partner school, whilst also providing volunteering opportunities for LUS L6 students. There is an increased sense of being part of a local community to the mutual benefit of all of our children and staff.
This idea came for the Maths Lead at the West London Free School Primary, having identified a fun and impactful way for pupils to revise and practise maths skills, as well as tackling maths problems.
