Supporting children with disabilities
Each Easter holiday, the school makes its facilities, including residential boarding available to around 30 children in the Thames Valley with physical and learning difficulties.
The holiday is organised by the St John's Holidays for Children Trust - a registered charity founded by former pupils in 1975, based on the school's principles of service and helping others. The holiday camp is part-funded with monies raised by the school community.
The project aims to:
- give the children an opportunity to try new activities, meet new people and enjoy new experiences.
- give children a holiday that they can enjoy and which will also aid their personal development.
- provide much-needed respite for the parents and families.
- allow these children to enjoy the same experiences that other children have regularly
