Queen Margaret's School Escrick hosts North Yorkshire Schools Games
Queen Margaret's School hosts the annual North Yorkshire Schools Games, which this year falls on Sunday July 3rd 2016.
Inspired by London 2012, the North Yorkshire School Games is designed to boost participation in competitive sport for young people of all abilities and backgrounds, by significantly enhancing the year round calendar of competitive school sport. This includes meaningful opportunities for disabled youngsters.
The Games aims to positively impact on young people's school sport and PE experience and add significant value to the whole school agenda.
The Games also provides quality opportunities for future leaders, reporters, commentators, announcers, photographers, musicians and artists to showcase their talent and develop their skills in a live event environment.
