Powerful Poppy Display to Commemorate Remembrance Day at The Beacon
Pupils and staff at The Beacon School in Amersham worked hard to collectively create over 3,000 individual poppies for a striking display that has been draped outside the school over the front of the main School House building.
The creative vision was initiated by the Head of Art at The Beacon, as a symbol to commemorate Remembrance Day in honour of the Armed Forces and their families.
The Poppy Display can be seen by the public driving past the Amersham Road and looks stunning when lit up in the evening.
The community have donated to the Royal British Legion ‘Poppy Appeal’.
Headmaster at The Beacon says “A huge thank you to all our Beacon Community for contributing to produce and fit such a powerful Poppy Display, it looks fantastic! A special mention to our Head of Art, for her creative genius and vision.”
Lest we forget.
