Ogden Trust Secondary and Primary Hub Brackenbury
Godolphin and Latymer is one of the first schools to be appointed a Hub school by the Ogden Trust for its secondary and primary school partnerships. The Ogden Trust, is a charitable trust that exists to promote the teaching and learning of physics. Through collaborative enrichment and enhancement activities, working with families, developing career awareness and supporting teacher training and development, the partnership will encourage more pupils to develop a love of physics – to believe they can be a scientist and to see what studying physics can mean to them.
Our partner schools include the West London Free School, Kensington Aldridge Academy, and Brackenbury, Lena Gardens, John Betts, and Wendell Park Primary Schools. Plans for the year which include a joint Planetarium day, Science Museum talks, family competitions, science fairs and much more. This is extremely exciting and builds on the work of our ‘community and partnerships’ programme, creating strong relationships between the local schools and supporting the teaching of Physics.
To encourage more pupils to develop a love of physics and to consider a career in the field. To help students believe they can be a scientist and to see what studying physics can mean to them.
