Music for All

The Music Department at St Leonards runs a ‘Music for All’ scheme, which is open to all members of the local community - both children and adults - and provides access to individual instrumental and vocal tuition through the School’s music staff.

Aims

‘Music for All’ aims to widen access to music and instrumental tuition in the St Andrews community, sharing the expertise of our teachers and spreading enjoyment and appreciation of music at all ages.

Background

St Leonards has offered this scheme for many years, opening up the School’s purpose-built practice rooms, instruments and facilities to anyone who would like to learn.

Resources

Those enrolled on the scheme benefit from access to individual practice rooms for lessons and use of the School’s instruments, including a concert piano.

Impact

Through ‘Music for All’ St Leonards has enabled local residents of all ages to discover and pursue a passion for music, increasing accessibility for all.

Frequency

The scheme runs annually throughout the school year, with applications for lessons welcomed at any time.
