Litherland Community Library
Hatton Hill School library threw open its doors to the local community when the local public library was closed. Merchant Taylors' Girls' School has a rather splendid, well stocked library so our librarian took them under her wing and supported them with library stock and materials. Several boxes of books, some donations from pupils and staff were given to the school to boost their library.
To help support a fledgling library in an area of great need.
The librarian saw an article in the local newspaper and contacted the school. It is now in its second year.
Donations of books and some finanacial input regarding library materials. The librarian is involved and members of the 6th form library committee.
Fostering good local relations.
