Harvest Festival

Donations from the 2022 Harvest Festival went to support the work of the Leeds North and West Foodbank.  

Aims

To collect donations to support the work of the Leeds North and West Foodbank to support families in need in the local area. 

Background

Moorlands has supported the Foodbank at various points over the past few years,  including raising over £700 by taking part in the Captain Tom '100' challenges the previous year. 

Resources

Pupils presented a Harvest Celebration to their families and Karen - the Chief Executive of the foodbank - spoke to the school and visitors about the work that they do. 

Impact

A large quantity of donations was collected,  using the 'shopping list' provided by the Foodbank. 

Pupil Involvement

All pupils from Reception to Year 6 were involved.

This is an annual event.
