Community Links
The Croft Preparatory School maintains strong links with the community, hosting many local groups in our facilities.
The Croft holds a Baby and Toddler Group every Tuesday afternoon from 1.30 - 3.00pm. We welcome parents with their babies and toddlers to join us weekly during term time.
The Reception classes visit Margaret Court, a residential home for the elderly, in Tiddington, to learn about people living in the local community. The children spend time sharing stories, photographs, songs and homemade cake.
On an annual basis a local networking forum use the School's facilities for one of their Breakfast Networking Events. The School provides a mouth-watering cooked and continental style breakfast and welcomes more than 60 delegates.
The Pauline Quirke Academy Stratford upon Avon is a dedicated performing arts Academy. They provide classes for children and young adults in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre (singing & dancing) and Film & Television. They use our Theatre every Saturday morning.
The School has excellent links with Thunderbirds Netball Club, which enables them to use our facilities to train every Tuesday.
The Warwickshire Contemporary Choir is a rock, pop, musical theatre and Disney choir. They use our facilities to rehearse every Tuesday evening during term time. They perform and record throughout the year in the local community.
Water Babies use the School swimming pool for some of their swimming lessons. They teach babies and toddlers from new born babies up to 4 years of age.
Aims
We aim to create a warm and friendly atmosphere at the Baby and Toddler group, where newcomers are welcome and can soon become part of the group. The sessions are organised to meet the needs of both adults and children. We hope to promote informal learning about parenting and mutual support during our relaxed sessions. We offer good quality, safe, educational play with indoor and outdoor activities appropriate to the children's stages of development.
Frequency
Most of these events occur weekly during term time.
